About me

I define myself as Pink (respectful), Green (energetic), and Dark blue (limitless).

I value harmony, which means people can fully express themselves under the base of respect with others. With me, this respect is as warm and tolerant as Pink. I … Ho Nghe to the world, with the hope

Green represents the energy I give (and receive) energy from the world. While I want people to smile as lively as green when they are with me, I also choose to surround myself with places full of trees (the nearby park!) when I feel down.

I strive for Dark Blue as deep as oceans and skies not only in studying but in my life as a whole. Therefore, I put myself in wide-ranging activities, from Ho Nghe to research of plants.

I choose to pursue the career of herbal medicine as I see Dark Blue, surround myself with Green, and save those who give me Pink with this career.

Extraction and functional properties of gelatin from common carp (Cyprinus Carpio) scales

Co-Author

Gelatin is a protein found in various animal tissues and has diverse applications in the food and pharmaceutical industries. Vietnam has significant potential as a supplier of gelatin, especially through the aquaculture sector. The government has shown a keen interest in this export industry, implementing favorable policies to promote growth and ensure the long-term sustainability of natural gelatin sources.

One widely cultivated aquatic species in Vietnam is the carp, known for its remarkable adaptability to different environments and food sources. The scales of carp, in particular, contain a noteworthy amount of gelatin, making them a highly promising raw material source. However, the extraction process poses certain limitations in terms of efficiency. Therefore, we have proposed a novel extraction method that ensures both compositional stability and the preservation of desirable physicochemical properties, comparable to those found in existing commercial gelatinproducts.

e main purpose of this work was to assessthe antioxidant activitiesofthen-hexane, ethyl acetate and methanol extracts of Strobilanthes schomburgkiileaves collected in Laocai province, Vietnam. Total phenolic and flavonoid contents were determined. The DPPH, H2O2 radical scavenging activity, and total antioxidant activityviaphosphomolybdenum method were investigated. The results showedthat the methanol extractconcludeda high concentrationof phenolicsand flavonoidswhich were 65.42 mg/gand 52.05 mg/g, respectively. There was a significant correlation between total phenolic and flavonoid concentrationsand EC50values of different antioxidantassays. The antioxidant properties of the different extracts from Strobilanthes schomburgkiileaveswere reported for the first time

Evaluation of the inhibitory activity of acetylcholinesterase enzyme of some compounds from Miliusa sinensis

Research Assistant

Species of Miliusa are of interest to many scientists worldwide. Several studies have been conducted on some species of this genus. However, information on the research of Miliusa species in Vietnam remains very limited. There is almost no systematic and comprehensive research on these entities in Vietnam with the aim of establishing their long-term utilization. Within the scope of this research topic, the research group obtained 05 Miliusa specimens in Thua Thien Hue province. Plant specimens were dried, ground, and assigned scientific names by Dr. Nguyen The Kyong of the Institute of Ecology and Biological Resources, Vietnamese Academy of Science and Technology. The specimens were dried, ground, protocols were prepared, sealed in vacuum bags, and stored in the Biotechnology Laboratory of the Faculty of Chemistry and Environment, Hue University.
